If you’ve been pretty active on Facebook or Tumblr over the past week, chances are you’ve come across a picture of Kyemah McEntyre in her stunning prom dress.

McEntyre, aspiring fashion designer and a senior at Cicely Tyson School of Performing Arts in East Orange, New Jersey, designed and constructed the dress herself.

She will be entering New York’s famed Parsons School of Design, this fall.
