Sedad Hakkı Eldem (31 August &#; 7 September ) was a Turkisharchitect[1] and proponent of nationalized modern architecture in Turkey.[2]
Biography
Eldem was born in Istanbul in [3] He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts department of architecture.[4] Between and , he traveled to France, England, and Germany with a scholarship from the academy.[citation needed] In , he opened his own office and started teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts, continuing until his retirement in [4] In , he worked for the National Architecture Seminar in Turkey, where disagreements arose between those preferring modern architecture and traditional architecture.[citation needed] In , he designed the Turkish Pavilion in New York Exhibition.
