Ryan Gosling is in negotiations to join the Star Wars cinematic universe.

The Hollywood Reporter announced on Tuesday that the three-time Oscar nominee is eyeing a starring role in a standalone Star Wars film.

The film is set to be directed by Deadpool & Wolverine’s Shawn Levy, who also recently wrapped the final season of Stranger Things.

Levy has been developing his Star Wars project since at least 2022. He is co-writing the script with This is Where I Leave You and The Adam Project collaborator Jonathan Tropper.
